Administration

Mark Janke began his teaching career at Stayton Middle School in 2003.  At Stayton Middle School, he taught 7^th and 8^th grade math and served as the school activities director.  As the activities director, he mastered the craft of middle school dance DJ and continues to DJ middle school dances.  He worked in Stayton for four years and moved to St. Helens in 2007.  Mr. Janke has served as the middle school athletic director and a 7^th and 8^th grade math teacher while in St. Helens.  Mr. Janke has also coached 7^th grade volleyball, 12U club volleyball and 9U soccer.  Currently, Mr. Janke is the Assistant Principal at St. Helens Middle School.  As Assistant Principal, he is working with students and families so that all students can be successful in a school that is safe for all learners.  In his free time, Mr. Janke enjoys camping, hiking, and coaching his children's sports teams.  He can often be spotted around town and would love the chance to talk and connect with parents and kids.
